Important Information:
THE ELEPHANTS IN THE ROOM
What are the "elephants in the room" in our society? These are the difficult, often unspoken issues that affect us all. Starting January 26th through March 2nd, Franklin First UMC invites you to join us for a thought-provoking and transformative sermon series led by Pastor Laura.
Each Sunday, we will delve into some of the most pressing and challenging topics of our time, including anxiety, addiction, abuse, and more. This series aims to illuminate these issues and foster a deeper understanding within our community. What does the bible say about these hard issues?
By addressing these "elephants in the room," we hope to create a more supportive and compassionate environment for everyone. Your presence and participation are invaluable, whether you are personally affected by these issues or simply want to learn more and offer support.
Join us at Franklin First UMC and be part of this important journey toward healing and understanding. Together, we can make a difference.

for our Ash Wednesday service, marking the beginning of Lent. This solemn and reflective service will include the imposition of ashes, a powerful symbol of repentance and renewal. As we receive the ashes, we are reminded of our mortality and the call to turn our hearts towards God.
Come and begin your Lenten journey with us, embracing this time of spiritual preparation and growth. We look forward to sharing this meaningful experience with you.

Mark your calendars for this year’s Lenten Bible study on the book “The Message of Jesus” written by Rev. Adam Hamilton.
This six week study will run on Sunday evenings beginning at 5:30 p.m.,
March 9, 16, 23, 30.
Our time will start with a light meal followed by a lesson.
What did Jesus actually teach? What sayings have been attributed to him that he never said? Our curriculum will focus on Jesus’ words concerning:
1. The Kingdom of God
2. The Sermon on the Mount
3. The parables
4. The “I am” sayings in the Gospel of John
5. Jesus’ final words
6. The resurrection and the life
Pastor Laura will lead the class. Please sign up with link below or
through the office so that we have adequate materials prepared. We will use handouts in class. If you would like to purchase the book, it is available on Amazon.
Need a Prayer?
Prayer is a powerful resource when you or a loved one is hurting or sick. We often call upon our Franklin First family to pray for others in need. If you or someone you know is in need of prayers, let Pastor Laura and our prayer warriors pray for your concerns.
